Get to Know Us!

We’re Brian and Christine Virtue. We have been on staff with Cru for over almost 30 years, which has included seasons of working in Campus Ministry, Global Missions, and Leadership Development for several years with Epic Movement, Cru’s Asian-American ministry.

We moved our family to the Philippines in 2012 for almost a decade when we joined the faculty of the International Graduate School of Leadership, a seminary and graduate school that resources Christian leaders and pastors from over 25 countries in Asia and Africa. We returned to the U.S. after the pandemic, and Brian now oversees IGSL’s doctoral programs virtually while Christine coaches faculty women, teaches pastor’s wives in a certification program, and assists HR in care ministry.

Who do we work for?

We have been full-time staff members with Cru Int’l for almost 30 years, but were seconded to the International Graduate School of Leadership in 2013. We have also maintained organizational connections to Cru’s Asian American ministry Epic Movement since 2008.

Are you in the U.S. or Asia?

Well, both! We live in the U.S. now for a variety of reasons, but work virtually in Asia at IGSL.

Do you have a family?

Yes! We have two kids in college and one in high school (two girls and a boy). Many of their formative years growing up were when we were in Asia.

Why is there a “Give” link?

We don’t earn additional income outside of giving from like-minded individuals, families, and churches (even from books). We partner with generous donors who enable us to do what we do and are always in need of adding new partners who share our vision.
